The Tribune used to have a rule that we wouldn’t cover protests if less than 50 people showed up. Today we covered a minutemen rally, to protest Mayor Becker’s decision not to cross-deputize Salt Lake City Police Officers to be immigration agents. Only 16 people showed up. It wasn’t very interesting until Victor Turner, West Valley City, noticed the latino workers across the street and started shouting at them “Go Home” and “Give us back our jobs”
