Since the only thing worth really seeing in Baltimore is the west side (a la “The Wire”), I’ve been using my time before I start Monday at the Daily Herald to explore Utah.
Everything I’ve seen is so beautiful, and well, so wide open. Everything in Maryland is so compact.
On Friday, I made it out to the Salt Flats. Amazing stuff. I will say, driving on it is an experience. I felt nauseated because I didn’t really feel as if I was moving at all. Haha. But my new Subaru WRX sure did have some fun.
Can’t wait to see more of the state on my time off. Suggestions welcome!

Spiral Jetty, Antelope Island, Mary’s Lake up Big Cottonwood, Mirror Lake in the Uintahs….all great places. And Goblin Valley if you have a couple days.
Mike. Thanks for the tips!
