Here I am at Utah Lake State Park on my LAST ASSIGNMENT for The Daily Herald! It was great four years as a full time staff photographer. I honesly can’t think of a better job I could have had or a better way to spend my early career.
I’m heading back to school, for those that are wondering. I start the BYU MBA program in a couple of weeks (with a Caribbean cruise between my last day as staffer and my first day as a grad student).
I have made some great friends at the Herald and have had very VERY forgiving bosses and fun colleagues.
I’ve also had a great time with many of you at the D-news and Trib, thank you for your friendships and encouragement over the years. I will miss shooting alongside all of you.
Wish me luck as I start my MBA (Mario’s Big Adventure as Randy Wright here at the office put it). I’m always available for lunch when you’re down in the UC. I’ll see you guys in the papers!

Good luck Hoss! See you around.
Have fun doing homework, Mario! My time at the Herald was full of great memories. I’m sure yours was too. Best of luck.
