I thought this was a funny comment posted today on our Web site. I am surprised that even went through someone’s mind in the valley.
And in case you missed it (I had the wrong angle and wasn’t fast enough, although anticipating it) check out No.15 of New Mexico’s rash plays, including a ponytail take down! CLICK HERE

Hate to say it guys, but this one doesn’t work for me either.
Does it pass the test for being THE photo that tells the story of this game?
Given what I’ve seen from that game, I’d hope there were other photos that do that better.
It’s only redeeming feature is that it does show a bit of the rough play that was the story in this game.
In that way it does it’s job as a piece of photojournalism.
But the overriding message of this photo seems to be: “Hey, Look! It looks like she is having a baby!”

From a game who’s main story made the national sports new, this one just seems unnecessarily tacky.
Patrick, We ran your photograph in this morning’s Salt Lake Tribune for a story on the rough play in that game. If you need a copy to cut out for your scrapbook let me know. Oh, and they cropped it. Congrats!
I saw this morning. It’s been all over the place once it went on the wire, including SI where they also cropped it. Ha. From what I understand, is that Newsweek picked up my sequence of the punch.
