Letter to Deseret News: Don’t publicize grief
It’s been a while since the last letter like this one:
I for one am tired of seeing pictures of grieving families in the newspaper. I don’t need to see broken hearts crying over their loved ones. This is a private affair for most families. Tragedy has already struck them, yet we compound it by splashing it all over for the world to see. An article will suffice. Let the families have some dignity. Don’t publish pictures that are personal.

Anyone have thoughts about it? I thought Keith Johnson’s photo, which I’m guessing triggered this letter, was a masterpiece. I’ll post it here from the gallery on the News’s site:

If that photo needs to come down from this post for copyright reasons, I understand. I just wanted people to see it.
