January 2010 GoldenEye Winner

Legendary photojournalist David Burnett of Contact Press Images has selected our first GoldenEye award, picking Scott Winterton’s photograph from over 100 photographs posted in January:

Don’t Mind Us

Since it’s our first month, some background on how this works:

At the end of the month, all photos that are posted by our users to the site (in blog posts or simply uploaded- some are uploaded and never posted) are collected and sent to a judge who then picks their favorite photograph. The photographs are judged solely as photographs, without regard for the context of the post they appeared in.
