Blast From the Past

Today my five-year-old asked me what a pay phone was. She reminded me of this picture I made in 1985 of the L.A. (yes, L.A.) Rams’ RB Eric Dickerson phoning his mom to make sure she was planning to watch the Monday Night Football game he was about to play versus the SF 49ers at Candlestick.

Just one of those moments probably lost to cellphones.

Plus I’m anxious for football season.

  1. Like! Now when players win championships they’re to busy trying to capture the moment themselves rather than celebrate. Saw it both in the NHL and NBA championship games. Sigh.

  2. Spectacular… Think of how much culture has changed because of cell phones…

  3. Dang, you are old. LOL no Scott you’re the man. Great moment!
