- The Poynter story has an animation that compares the altered photo he entered in a Bay area contest and the one he sent to the AP. http://www.poynter.org/latest- news/mediawire/161983/sacramen to-bee-fires-bryan-patrick-for -photo-manipulation/ His manipulations seem so minor, it begs the question, why do it at all? I guess he did win an award with the fire photo but I wonder how much the slightly bigger flames impacted the judges decision?

Park City or Penal Colony? It looks like you didn’t get the warden’s permission to photograph in there.
I’m interested that you say that because that’s essentially how the administration treats the students pre-ceremony, which is what these photos are from.
