Empire State of Mind

I’m going to be in New York City August 4th – 13th and I’m looking for advice. Where to go, what to do etc. If you got things to say, say those things.

Dunno if you’re into beers and brats but check this http://www.currywurstnyc.com/

Go to DUMBO area, cool galleries and graffiti artists, muralists, etc.
    (Down Under Manhattan Bridge)

Central Park is kinda expected, but it is giant and you could spend all day just rallying around, especially if you have bikes.

As far as other cool galleries and such, look up the blog theworldsbestever.com. It has a bunch of listings for cool stuff happening in NYC. You could even email the guy who runs it and pick his brain a bit.

Park Slope area of Brooklyn near the park is cool as well, bit different than Manhattan. Also there is an IFC Movie Theater right by Washington Square Park in the village that has obscure movies sometimes. Plus that whole area is awesome at night.
    I’ll keep thinking for you.

  2. Absolutely check out the Metropolitan Museum and it could be grouped in with a Central Park trip. Do check on the camera bag policies however. SOHO is great people watching. I’ll keep thinking and get back to you with more.
