Awesome story, Scott. Now I know what all the Afghan family assignments on the calendar were for…
Thanks very much Djamila. Yes, four months of following the family and their experiences here led to the story that ran Thursday. Each and every time I returned home from a day with them I was so in awe of their kind and patient care of their kids. They left Afghanistan after a death threat to the father, and now he is glad it happened. The kids are flourishing in the programs they are able to be in here.
