This weekend I was up at our cabin in Wyoming for time with family and rock climbing. But then a wildfire broke out within two miles of our place. Luckily our place was safe.
Because I always carry a kit with me, even on vacation, I was able to cover it and the pics got a really good run.
Since the fire was so close to our place and we were told to evacuate (we didn’t), I didn’t spend much time trying to get into the fire in case we actually had to pack up and leave.
Here are a couple pics I liked and also did not like because it is so close to my family’s place.

I’m really liking the bright/different colors in all these photos! Sorry about the un-relaxing vacation though!
good stuff, J!
Thanks Trent and Sarah! It all worked out. The cabin is safe and the top image was just included in the Atlantic’s 50 State snapshot. News sometimes happens in your backyard as it were. After this I think I can really understand why some people refuse to evacuate.
