This photo was taken back in 1975. Willie pretty much looks the same. Just pickin’ & tokin’ down the road.

Another graduation photo
During the graduation ceremonies of the SLC Art Institute last night, saw this image during the video of the students of the various departments throughout the year. Went down a clicked the shot down front of the schools faculty turning around watching the film. FYI, my eldest son, Sterling, graduated with a BS in Digital Film Making and Visual Graphics. Why I took this I have no idea, can’t do anything with it. Just can’t pass up a good photo moment.

Digital ISO
FYI: Really didn’t understand earlier post about the digital ISO thing, but read an article today in the April issue of “Digital Photo” about this topic and found it very interesting!
Attention Nikon users
Just a notice to the few Nikon users in Utah that unfortunately the Nikon headquarters and plant is located at Sendi, Japan, center of the earthquake. Expect higher prices and shortages of parts, etc. This according to posting on SportsShooter.com
Another season
First game of the Davis High grade 10 football team. This time last year was flat in bed with back trouble unable to walk for 3 months, so missed the whole football season. This year got to do the first quarter before my back gave-out and nearly fainted. Spent second quarter recouping just to make it to car. Okay, I now admit that I’m old. Just shoot to keep the skill up. But for what I don’t know.
Ancient extreme sport

Sportsmen of the "Knights of Mayhem" compete at the Utah Renaissance Fair last weekend. The knights aren't actors or members of SCA, but compete internationaly on the pro circut.
Until last weekend when I talked with these athletes I thought these guys were just play acting, they aren’t, what they do is real. Using the same equipment as the original knights of 700 years ago, when in the mid 1400s the Pope outlawed tournaments with jousting because of so many men getting killed. When riding down the track the impact of the lance is at 40 mph. There are three levels, the top being for pros who compete internationally, even a division for women. They are trying to get the Olympics to recognize their sport.
