Robert Davis contracted Hepatitis C while working in the Navy in the 1970s. The disease has nearly destroyed his liver and side effects from drugs have caused the discs in his back to degenerate. Davis watches television at his home in Ogden, Utah, Tuesday, Nov. 9, 2010. Audio and more photos of Davis and other Hep C patients here.

no, my blog isn’t dead
the first month at the trib has been a blur of events – all pretty fast-paced and exciting.
i’m finally catching up with a lot of stuff, including updating the blog with, oh, i don’t know, a lot of photos. so take a looky, if you want.
Above, Baylee Boulden, 6, rubs her eye that’s irritated from all the smoke at the Herriman fire. Early on in the afternoon, she and her family were outside watching, with interest, but unphased. A few hours later the fire was burning in their backyard and they, along with a ton of other residents, had to immediately evacuate. I don’t think anyone expected that. Not them, not law enforcement, not me.
