I’ve been waiting patiently for City Creek Center to open just so I could shoot the city from this angle. Watching the construction of the bridge, thinking about the angle and exposure.

I finally got down there on the skybirdge with my LX3 point and shoot last Friday. Of course RAW format and Leica 24mm, f2.0 lens helped.

Funny, if I had been at the Gateway with a camera, I would have been tackled by security, or at least told to leave (it’s happened). Not at City Creek.

Eclipse of the sun as viewed from Farmington, Utah on Sunday, May 20, 2012. Used the cheapo plastic glasses for viewing a solar eclipse that my wife brought home in front of the lens. Doesn’t make for a really sharp photo, but the camera seems fine.
