Provo Daily Herald reporter Heidi Toth and I worked on a package, series on a group of families in Utah County who have recently adopted babies from Haiti.
We worked on it last month for a couple of days and it ran Sunday. I had fun getting to hang out with these pair of families, while [...]

Jimmy straight killing it during the 4A Championship! Nailing that moment!
Caveat: What you can’t see is a “Mr. Videographer” behind No.14 who called me out for getting in his way, although I was no where near him the entire game.
“Hey, if you’re going to get down there, you better stay down there! You’ve been getting [...]

I was sent to cover the 4A men’s championship basketball game in Ogden tonight, and as per usual, I was early.
As I walked in from above, the 5A game was finishing. I only got off a couple of frames of Alta’s jubilation, and nailed this epic shot of Scott W.

It’s been endearing to see how these kids [...]

Props to the kid on the left for making his own “car” while the child on the right probably played XBox 360 while his dad labored in the garage making this $150 “car.”

I finally hit the slopes for the first time since moving to Utah.
It’s been more than five years since I’ve skied in Colorado and was terrified that maybe I had forgotten how to get down the mountain.
Halfway through my first run I realized I was golden.
Thanks to co-worker Mark Johnston for the encouragement to hit [...]

Yeah, sure this was a neat little assignment where Chinese children got to interact with American kids for the first time.
But there is nothing like killing the moment with insane amounts of video cameras. To be perfectly honest, I am not sure if this was totally necessary. Multiple cameras, lights, etc.
Alas, they seemed to suck [...]
