When I was in fourth grade, I remember not participating in a geography bee. I remember disliking geography quite a bit.
Following on Mr. Smith’s post, here’s my own view of the geo bee in the beehive.

While everyone else was partying it up in Ogden, I covered the 1A championship game in Richfield. It was a bit surprising when the stands emptied on to the court after the game, but I found a nice moment between father and son.
My girlfriend visited last week and we took a couple of little road trips around the state. The above is from Kolob Canyons, in Zion National Park, and there’s more in my blog (here) from Zion and from the spiral jetty on the Great Salt Lake.
I also shot several rolls of film–mostly 120, with a couple 35mm rolls for good measure. They’re a mix of c41 and e6 and I’m curious if you all have any suggestions for your favorite shop for getting film developed? Thanks for the help!
I talked my way on to the cat walk at the Jazz game against Sacramento to shoot crowd shots for a story in a series about the popularity of basketball. It’s so much fun getting up that high.
Hello all,
I’m a new member here, just signed up at Chris Detrick’s recommendation. I’ll be starting an internship at the Deseret News in January and I’m coming in this week to find an apartment. I fly in Tuesday night and leave early Friday morning. I’m curious if anyone here can offer a place to crash for any of the nights I’ll be in town. Even if you’ve only got one night available, I’d really appreciate the roof over my head.
I’m happy to add beer to your ‘fridge or pick up a few rounds at your favorite bar.
Thanks for any help you can offer!
