Hey, it’s contest season! The UNPA contest website is online and ready for you to enter the best photojournalism contest in Utah…

The UNPA contest is in its twelfth year and was designed by photographers for photographers. A $25 entry fee gets you twenty entries and a nice dinner at our awards banquet/party this summer. Unpublished photos are always welcome in all categories besides Worst Photo.

New changes for this year’s contest:
Arts & Entertainment category. Enter your photos of concerts, ballet, theater, dance, etc., etc.

Also, Video and Multimedia categories have been combined into- you guessed it- the Video & Multimedia category.

Oh yeah, deadline is going to be the end of Friday, February 17th.

Galleries of this year’s winning photographs in the Utah News Photographers Association’s Photojournalism Competition, judges comments, etc., are all online at unpa.utahphotojournalism.com

In fact, all winners from the history of the contest are posted (except for last year, which we will have up shortly).

We know that your submissions in these categories look horrible when previewed. Just wanted to let you know that we’ll have the code cleaned up before any judges view the entries.

Seven extra days to enter the UNPA contest. New deadline: Sunday, March 6 at 11:59pm.
