Today was an interesting day for me, I had a morning assignment at the Festival of Trees and just as I was walking out of that got a call sending me to a Trax train vs a mini van, after sending in those I got another call sending me to the helicopter hanger to got shoot an accident up near strawberry res. where an oil tanker had crashed and was burning. So here are a few from the day.
Reminder that this Sunday night is the second annual Utah PJ Photo Night at the Moran Eye Center in Salt Lake City.

Bring your photos and projects from the past year on a flash drive, hard drive, whatever and show them to us on a giant, beautiful screen.
Bring a book if that’s what you’re rocking. We just want to see what you’ve been shooting this year.
This is a great opportunity for feedback as we head into contest season.
If you don’t have work to share, come anyway and you’re sure to be inspired.
After the main part of Salt Lake City Mayor Ralph Becker’s re-election party was over I found the mayor sitting alone in a quieter area of the room making phone calls to other candidates, I really liked the moment.
John Warnock, co-founder of Adobe gave a talk at the UofU Scientific Computing Institute last night. It was a great review of the early days of computer graphics and where the modern personal computer came from. It was also intriguing to hear about the central role that the UofU played in the history of computing.

I was at volleyball again tonight and shot the game between Davis and Pleasant Grove.

All are invited to come share their work from the past year (or beyond) on the big screen. Get feedback, hang out with friends, etc. Last year’s event was really cool.
We’re planning to sit down for dinner somewhere before for those who want to, location will be announced later.
I know this doesn’t have the emotion of Scott’s but I liked it for what it has.
