For Sale: HP Photosmart Pro B8850 13×19 Printer

I have a lightly used HP Photosmart Pro B8850 13×19 printer for sale. This is an amazing printer that I have used to print several dozen 13 x 19 prints that are hanging in my house. It can print onto any size paper up to 13 x 19 inches.

I am selling it because I do not use it nearly enough as I should and it is just collecting dust in my office.

The printer works perfectly and is easy to calibrate and print. It needs several ink cartridges refilled, but other than that, it is in great condition. I also have a dozen or so sheets of 13×19, 8.5×11 and 4×6 paper that I will include with this printer.

If you google this printer, you can read all of the positive reviews on it. Let me know if you have any questions. I am willing to entertain all reasonable offers.

FS: Canon EF 70-300mm f4.5-5.6 DO IS USM lens

I am offering up to our community my Canon EF 70-300mm f4.5-5.6 DO IS USM lens (review here).  It really is the most amazingly compact 70-300 zoom lenses you can buy, ideal for travel or hiking.  This example was purchased new from Pictureline and  is about 3 years old, has been meticulously cared for and *just* came back from Canon service where they cleaned and inspected it.  It has also had a B+H UV filter on it since purchase.  New, these lenses are ~$1300.00, I’d like $750 for it and see it go to a good home.

If interested, email me: bryan.jones@m.cc.utah.edu

For Sale

Canon EF 16-35mm f/2.8L II USM with B+W UV haze filter, original lens hood, caps, bag, box etc.
$1250

Canon EOS 50D with battery grip, two batteries, charger, strap, original box etc.
$700

I’m selling some gear as I use these items less and less. They’ve just been sitting in my camera bag. Both items were purchased at Pictureline at the end of 2008 for $3,300.  It would be great to see them go to a local photoj so I’m posting here first. They have been well cared for. The lens hood has some minor scratches from normal use. The glass and filter is clean and never been dropped or dinged. The camera has a small scratch on the LCD and is also clean. No sensor dust that I can see. If interested give me a call at 435.513.4819 or email at erik@erikdaenitz.com. I won’t put any specifications, you guys know what they do.

LumaLabs LumaLoop Strap Unveiled

splash.jpg

Those of us who made the Utah PJ Lunch Meetup Whatever Thing today at Thai Siam got a sneak preview of the new LumaLoop camera strap courtesy of Bryan Jones. Gotta say it, the thing is very cool. It’s a single loop strap that improves upon those zip line straps that work like one of those retractable key rings. What I mean to say is that this one doesn’t make you look like a gadget-carrying Batman. It’s just a nice, comfortable strap that keeps your camera where you want it, ready to shoot.

I could see this coming in handy on a lot of sports shoots, where you’re shooting with a 400 on a monopod and your second camera is on your shoulder. This thing would make switching fast. Some concern was raised at the table about the security of having your camera connected to the strap by a quick release (the suggestion was that it would be easy for a thief to unhook it quickly). But the quick release would also get the strap out of your way when you’re shooting from a set position (like an NBA game). Here’s some info and link to the site:

Comfortably carry your camera all day long. Go anywhere you want to go with both hands free. Busy events, out on the town, on vacation, or just for a walk in the park. When you see the shot you want, your camera is right at hand and ready to use. The LumaLoop will redefine your relationship with your camera.
